Bilateral Meeting Between Minister Of Finance II With Minister Of Finance II Brunei Darussalam

YB Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan, Minister of Finance II received YB Dato' Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew Abdullah, Minister of Finance II Brunei Darussalam for a bilateral meeting to further strengthen Malaysia-Brunei economic and financial cooperation.
Both sides exchanged views on the importance of strengthening ASEAN connectivity, including through cross-border energy cooperation and greater collaboration in areas of renewable energy, customs modernisation, trade and investment facilitation. The Ministers also shared experiences on fiscal reforms including the implementation of targeted subsidies, improving data-driven policies and strengthening fiscal discipline to ensure long-term economic sustainability.
The engagement reflects the longstanding relationship between Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam and their shared commitment towards advancing regional priorities.
