Perlindungan Tenang Voucher 3.0 Offers Affordable Insurance And Takaful Protection For STR Recipients

Starting 1 September 2025, recipients of Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) can claim a RM30 voucher, subsidised by the MADANI Government, to help finance part of the cost of affordable insurance and takaful products with an annual premium or contribution of at least RM50 under the Perlindungan Tenang Voucher 3.0 (PTV3.0) programme.

In partnership with the insurance and takaful industry, the MADANI Government has allocated RM60 million under Budget 2025 to subsidise the cost of protection products under PTV3.0, making them more accessible to low-income households. This effort complements broader initiatives such as Skim Perubatan MADANI and PeKa B40 to expand the social safety net through targeted, public–private partnerships.

“PTV3.0 reflects the MADANI Government’s commitment to meet the Ekonomi MADANI’s objective of elevating the rakyat’s living standards, for a nation can only rise when every household is protected. This is about restoring dignity and resilience across all segments of society,” said Prime Minister and Finance Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

“With PTV3.0, the MADANI Government is determined to expand access to all layers of society — ensuring that peace of mind is not reserved for the select few,” he added.

To ensure that this targeted aid reaches those truly in need, the Ministry of Finance (MoF) will implement identity verification protocols for PTV3.0 to safeguard the integrity of enrolments.
