 Government Reduces Non-Subsidised RON95, RON97 And Diesel Retail Prices From 8 January 2026 To 14 January 2026

In line with the fluctuations in global oil prices, the Government has agreed to reduce the retail prices of non-subsidised RON95 by 2 sen to RM2.54 per litre, RON97 by 5 sen to RM3.11 per litre and diesel in Peninsular Malaysia by 5 sen to RM2.89 per litre from 8 January 2026 to 14 January 2026.

The Government will continue to review and adjust petrol RON95, RON97 and diesel retail prices in line with movements in the current global oil markets. Even so, price stability remains the foremost priority.

Using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) formula, retail prices for petroleum products from 8 January 2026 to 14 January 2026 are:

  1. RON97 petrol falls by 5 sen to RM3.11 per litre;

  2. Non-subsidised RON95 petrol falls by 2 sen to RM2.54 per litre;

  3. Subsidised RON95 petrol under BUDI95 remains at RM1.99 per litre;

  4. Diesel in Peninsular Malaysia falls by 5 sen to RM2.89 per litre; and

  5. Diesel in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan remains at RM2.15 per litre.

The Government will continue monitoring global oil price trends and take appropriate measures to ensure people’s welfare remains intact.
