The Ministry of Finance (MoF) is extending the interim refund mechanism for eligible logistics vehicle owners who have not yet received their fleet cards until August 2024. This facility is available to owners of eligible logistics vehicles whose applications have been approved under the Subsidised Diesel Control System (SKDS) 2.0 on or before 30 June 2024.
This extension allows claimants to submit claims for diesel usage from 10 June to 31 August 2024 (previously only up to July 2024), until they receive their fleet card, or for a maximum of three months, whichever comes first. The final submission date has also been extended to 15 September 2024. All other terms and conditions, as stated in our 28 June 2024 Press Release, remain unchanged.
Eligible logistics vehicle owners can begin applying for the August 2024 refund starting 12 August 2024.
Finance Minister II, YB Senator Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan, stated that this extension is provided to allow enough time for eligible logistics companies to receive their fleet cards, thus preventing any disruption in their access to the targeted diesel subsidy.
“The Government is committed to the effective implementation of the targeted diesel subsidy, ensuring that all eligible parties benefit from the assistance to mitigate any impact on the rakyat,” he added.
This mechanism is a temporary facility to reimburse the difference between the retail price of diesel fuel and the SKDS 2.0 price of RM2.15 per litre.
Eligible logistics vehicle owners can apply for the refund through the BUDI MADANI portal at https://budimadani.gov.my. Successful claimants will be reimbursed for the difference between the current diesel fuel price on the transaction date and the SKDS 2.0 price of RM2.15 per litre for diesel consumed since 10 June 2024, up to the maximum litre limit per month designated for each vehicle type.
